   STM-600, -610 studio tape recorder

Due to its long experience as well as uninterrupted research and
development work, the factory is in position to offer a comprehensive range
of tape recorders satisfying even the most exacting customers.
The large quantities manufactured have allowed to automatize the production
to a large extent with the result of an extremely stable high-precision
mechanical construction keeping its characteristics for many years of operation.
The tape recorder STM-600 (and its stereo version STM-610) is the due
successor of tape recorder STM-200 (-210), the best selling product of ML so
   far (ca 8000 pieces).
The unique feature of the device is that it's mechanical blockunits are
interchangeable with those of the earlier device (STM-200, STM-210).

   Features:

The tape is driven directly by the shaft of the servo-controlled capstan motor (System PLL)
Capstan speed stability is well beyond 10–5/°C (unaffected by mains frequency and voltage)
Electronic tape tension control (with no frictional sensing element)

Moving and swinging elements are electronically damped

Long life recording and play-back heads ( made of Recovac material)
Electronic reliable tape timer
Semi-automatic tape cutter cutting in the plane of the gap (optional)
Built-in stroboscope for checking the tape speed
Instant stop at tape run-out
Correction amplifiers adjustable for NAB or CCIR standarts
Remote control unit for all functions
Continuous tape speed control (version 600-11, optional)
Built-in VU méter (version 600-07, optional)
Electronic mono-stereo switching (version 600-33, optional)
